Overview
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Automotive Technology Instructor to inspire and educate students in the dynamic field of automotive repair and maintenance. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape future technicians by delivering engaging instruction, developing comprehensive curricula, and fostering hands-on learning experiences in a well-equipped environment.
Position Goal: The CTE – Automotive Technology Instructor is to instruct students in assigned areas of vocational training and career development; establish and maintain an orderly, safe, and well-disciplined classroom-learning environment; and to perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications:
o Kansas State Board of Education License/Certificate (one of the following required)
1-Kansas Teaching License 7-12 (preferred) or 2-Endorsements: Career and Technical Education (CTE) Specialized Certificate
o Required: Industry Recognized Certification and five years of full-time work experience in the profession Knowledge of and/or experience with:
o General automotive experience including engine repair, automatic transmission, manual transmission and drive train, suspension/steering, brakes, electrical, heating/air conditioning, and engine performance
o Ability to teach industry skills and knowledge of the profession
o Approved and effective techniques of student supervision, motivation, and discipline
o Effective student assessment and evaluation methods and techniques
o Appropriate curriculum and necessary instructional materials for assigned subject area(s)
Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
