12-month, non-classified position provides leadership and coordination for clinical experiences, field placements, supervision, assessment, accreditation support, orientation, recruitment, and Professional Learning Community ( PLC ) development within undergraduate teacher education. This position reports to the Chair of Undergraduate Teacher Education for 75% of assigned responsibilities and to the Director of the Student Center of Professional Education Services (SCoPES) for 25% of assigned responsibilities.

This position reports to the Chair of Undergraduate Teacher Education for 75% of assigned responsibilities and to the Director of the Student Center of Professional Education Services (SCoPES) for 25% of assigned responsibilities.
- Work cooperatively with faculty in COEPD to design performance assessment instruments for all clinical experiences.
- Coordinate clinical placements, including the selection of clinical sites and supervision arrangements with public school personnel and school systems.
- Ensure clinical placements are entered, updated, and maintained in the Student Learning and Licensure platform.
- Monitor students’ clinical experiences and performance in the Student Learning and Licensure platform.
- Work cooperatively with local education agencies, school principals, supervisors, college representatives, and students to resolve issues that arise in clinical placements.
- Work cooperatively with the college certification officer to ensure clinical placements are consistent with West Virginia Department of Education requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of assessment and accreditation reports.
- Maintain current clinical experience materials, records, handbooks, forms, and related documentation.
- Support student orientation and recruitment activities related to undergraduate teacher education and clinical experiences.
- Support the development and facilitation of Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) among teacher candidates, faculty, supervisors, and school partners.
- Teach courses for the COEPD each term.
- Provide clinical supervision as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of undergraduate teacher education, clinical experiences, accreditation, advising, and student success.
