Job Description
Primary Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive clinical psychological or psychoeducational evaluations for individuals suspected of having: Specific Learning Disabilities (Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, Dyscalculia) Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder ( ADHD ) Autism Spectrum Disorder ( ASD ) Related cognitive, attentional, or executive functioning concerns Interview clients and gather developmental, educational, and psychosocial histories from clients, families, teachers, and relevant healthcare professionals. Administer, score, and interpret standardized assessments of: Intelligence Achievement Autism Attention Depression Anxiety Other (as assigned by supervisor) Prepare comprehensive written reports with individualized recommendations. Provide feedback sessions to clients and families, explaining results, answering questions, and offering guidance. Consult with schools, physicians, counselors, healthcare professionals, community partners, and others regarding evaluation results and recommended support. Stay current on (a) the latest research and best practices in clinical psychology, and (b) requirements necessary to maintain a professional license. Provide clinical supervision to School Psychology and/or Psychology graduate assistants, including weekly formal supervision and ongoing case consultation. Provide learning opportunities for School Psychology students in collaboration with the College of Education’s School Psychology faculty. Lead therapy groups for children, teens, and adults focused on increasing social skills, coping skills, mindfulness, and executive functioning. Maintain strong communication with staff of HELP Program, WV ATC , and additional stakeholders. Support cross-departmental initiatives that enhance diagnostic services, student support, and community outreach. Uphold ethical standards, confidentiality, and best practices in assessment and supervision. Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records Safely store client records for 7 years
