Overview
Schedule: 12-hour assignments for Day and Nights Purpose Statement/Position Summary: The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) provides care to complex acute, critical and chronically ill patients and manages the plan of care. The APP is experienced and works autonomously, as well as in collaboration with other health care professionals, to diagnose and manage patients' acute and chronic health care needs. APP patient coverage requires regularly scheduled days, nights, including weekends, holidays and on-call obligations.The Newborn and Infant Critical Care Unit (NICCU) is a sophisticated 58-bed unit that provides a complete range of medical and surgical services for neonates and infants with the most complex conditions. Our unit serves as a regional referral center for the western United States as well as an international referral center. Our specialized programs include Fetal & Neonatal Surgery, Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO), Whole-Body Therapeutic Hypothermia, Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia, complex surgical specialties, highly specialized ventilatory support & home ventilation program, Newborn Follow-Up, and more. Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience: Required: Enhanced knowledge of pediatric patient care principles, and ability to manage specialty patient care and emergencies by prioritizing patient care acuity and tasks, collaborating with entire care team critically, comprehensively both verbally and in writing. Preferred: NICCU clinical experience Education/Licensure/Certification: Required: Master's Degree from an accredited college or university PA - Physician Assistant State License or NP - Nurse Practitioner License DEA - Drug Enforcement Administration American Health Association BLS - Basic Life Support & PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NICCU only) (NP) Required: Pediatric Nurse-Practitioner Acute-Care OR DUAL Pediatric Nurse-Practitioner Primary-care Family Nurse-Practitioner (Post-Masters Pediatric Preferred) Neonatal Nurse-Practitioner (NICCU Only)Pay Scale Information
