Overview
Schedule: Monday-Friday, Day Shift
Purpose Statement/Position Summary: Under the direction of department leadership, the Administrative Intern supports strategic initiatives and projects as assigned. Working in collaboration with appropriate departments, the Intern leads a strategic project, related to market analysis, strategic partnerships, new or existing CHLA clinical programs, or other projects assigned. Leading the strategic project includes engaging appropriate stakeholders, performing analyses, creating relevant business and implementation plans, and presenting a final consulting report to inform leadership.
Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience:
Required:
- Be age 18 or older.
- Be currently enrolled as a student.
- Have the legal right to work in the U.S.
- Complete a CHLA Health Screening
- Must clear a background check
- Must clear a drug/alcohol screening test
- Must provide proof of COVID-19 Vaccination
Meet all mandated requirements for internships at Childrenâs Hospital Los Angeles
Preferred:
- Prior administrative experience in a healthcare environment.
Education/Licensure/Certification: Required:
- Have a High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
Preferred:
- Currently enrolled as a student in a university or community college for a minimum of 2 years.
- Recently graduated within the last 6 months from a higher education institution at the time of application (Associateâs, Bachelorâs, Masterâs, Doctoral).
- Be a Dislocated Worker (Per Department of Labor, defined in: defined in âReference WIOA, defined in SEC. 3. DEFINITIONS. (15)â).
- Have minimum 2 years of prior Healthcare industry experience (in lieu of degree).
- Completion of training programs, certificates, or courses related to healthcare administration.
Pay Scale Information

Final determination of a successful candidateâs starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates who meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates who exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
