We are an 80 year old privately held company located in the heart of the picturesque Hudson Valley, in New Windsor, New York (90 minutes North of New York City).
Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Production Supervisor that under the direction of the Production Manager, will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day manufacturing operations in an LED lighting production environment. Assists in ensuring production schedules are met safely, efficiently, and in compliance with quality standards. Assists in providing guidance to the assembly line teams, coordinating resources, and continuous improvement, and supports the manufacturing of high-quality LED luminaires, fixtures, and components.
Key Responsibilities
Production & Operations
- Assist Production Manager in supervising daily production activities across assigned LED manufacturing lines (assembly, wiring, testing, packaging).
- Helps ensure production schedules, output targets, and delivery commitments are met.
- Helps monitor workflow, labor utilization, and material availability to minimize downtime.
- Assist Production Manager, coordinating with planning, engineering, and supply chain teams to resolve production issues.
- Promote and enforce a safe working environment at all times.
Quality & Compliance
- Enforce quality standards, work instructions, and inspection procedures.
- Ensure LED products meet electrical, optical, and mechanical specifications.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality defects and rework.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- 3–5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing assembly environment; electrical assembly a plus.
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Bilingual – English/Spanish.
- Strong leadership abilities – supervising, training, mentor.
- Proficient MS Office/Excel.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods on the production floor.
- Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Work in a fast-paced production environment.
Work Schedule - 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday's when required (Saturday hours are from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.)
