Key Responsibilities

• Safe Transport: Operate cars, vans, or trucks to deliver goods or people on schedule.
• Route Planning: Use GPS navigation apps and maps to find the fastest and safest routes while avoiding traffic.
• Loading and Unloading: Lift, load, and organize packages, luggage, or cargo.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Check fuel levels, perform basic pre-trip inspections, and report or schedule needed repairs.
• Record Keeping: Delivery receipts, and electronic delivery confirmations.
• Customer Service: Interact professionally with clients, recipients, or passengers.
  
  

Required Skills And Qualifications

• License: A valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle type (such as a standard non-CDL license or a Commercial Driver's License [CDL] for heavy trucks).
• Driving Record: A clean driving history with no major traffic violations.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to sit for long hours and lift heavy items (typically 30 to 50 pounds).
• Time Management: Strong punctuality and organizational skills to meet tight delivery windows.
• Communication: Clear verbal and written skills to coordinate with dispatchers and customers.
