About the role:
The Sales Manager will lead, coach, and develop our clients' sales team. This individual will be responsible for managing current sales staff, assisting with the development of proposals, and ensuring accountability across the sales organization.
Experience in commercial security system installation, fire & life safety systems, 24/7 monitoring services, audio-visual systems, or security system maintenance & support is highly preferred.
Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Management
- Manage, coach, and mentor current sales staff to achieve individual and team sales goals
- Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, performance reviews, and pipeline evaluations
- Establish clear expectations and hold team members accountable for activity metrics and results
- Foster a high-performance, team-oriented culture
Sales Performance & Accountability
- Set and monitor KPIs, quotas, and revenue targets
- Track pipeline activity, forecasting, and closing ratios
- Implement sales processes and best practices to improve efficiency and win rates
- Address performance gaps with coaching and corrective action when necessary
Proposal Development & Support
- Assist sales representatives with proposal development, pricing strategies, and scope review
- Ensure proposals are accurate, competitive, and aligned with company standards
- Collaborate with operations and technical teams to develop comprehensive solutions
- Participate in key client meetings and presentations as needed
- Strategic Growth & Business Development
- Identify opportunities to expand market share and increase revenue
- Support large or complex bids, RFP responses, and negotiated projects
- Maintain strong knowledge of industry trends, competitors, and customer needs
Essential skills and experience
- Demonstrate a high degree of organization, attention to detail and ability to multi-task proficiently
- Ability to review and comprehend project documentation
- Highly analytical, experience using data to drive to decisions
- General knowledge of CRM planning systems or aptitude to learn technical applications quickly
- Microsoft Office skills required with strong emphasis on Excel
- Strong internal communication experience and corresponding proven track record with teammates
