Our client is a growing manufacturer specializing in high-performance permanent mold aluminum casting and CNC-machined components. Their Pittsburgh-area facility combines hands-on manufacturing expertise with advanced operational strategy to serve a diverse industrial customer base.
THE OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for a hands-on Production Supervisor who enjoys both making things and leading people. This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable working directly on the production floor while also helping improve processes, solve problems, and drive consistent results.
The right person will be able to balance production, quality, efficiency, and safety, while working closely with company leadership to identify and implement improvements.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and supervise the production workforce.
- Execute manufacturing processes consistently and repeatably.
- Translate business requirements into prioritized tasks and action items.
- Identify and communicate technical issues effectively to the leadership team.
- Thoroughly understand production problems, determine root causes, and recommend solutions.
- Help ensure recurring quality issues are addressed and prevented from happening again.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience
- Enjoys working with both people and equipment.
- Takes pride in doing things the right way while remaining open to new ideas and approaches.
- Is comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic manufacturing environment.
- Has a strong track record of solving problems and improving processes.
- Is willing to get hands-on and jump into unfamiliar equipment or processes when needed.
- Can prioritize competing tasks and remain effective in a changing environment.
- Is professional, reliable, and self-motivated.
- Brings a can-do attitude and takes ownership of their work.
- Is located in the Pittsburgh, PA area.
