Sr Security Officer (Memphis US)

Our Senior Security officer provides leadership, direction, guidance and training to security officers in the assigned shifts. Ensure all aspects of security and protective services for Smith & Nephew employees and property are provided. Are you looking for a new opportunity where you can put into practice all your knowledge? Second Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM Monday through Friday. What will you be doing? 1. Supervise work of security officers assigned to the shift. Train officers as to general and shift-specific responsibilities. 2. Respond to reports of emergency, unusual, and/or unsafe situations. Evaluate, determine, and implement appropriate actions to be taken, and notify key personnel as appropriate. 3. Perform all aspects of security officer’s responsibility. 4. Issue employee parking hangtags and maintain computer log of parking program. 5. Issue security proximity access cards/badges and maintain computer control system. 6. Review, compile, report, and maintain security officer paperwork. Maintain inventory of security equipment and supplies. 7. Assist with planning and execution of Smith & Nephew events. Oversee access to buildings, directing people and traffic to proper location. Institute standard safety precautions. 8. Assist in identifying best methodologies for securing Smith & Nephew’s property. Monitor and troubleshoot access control systems and resolve physical security failures with external vendors and Smith & Nephew Building Maintenance Department. 9. Assist with coordinating shift coverage for unexpected absences. What will you need to be successful? Education: Associate’s degree in Law Enforcement, Criminal Justice or related field or two years of proven related experience required. Certifications: Must have valid driver’s license and maintain same and be able to drive the company vehicles. Must be able to be certified in CPR and first aid. Experience: One (1) year law enforcement, security or related professional experience required. Working knowledge of corporate security investigative techniques and procedures; laws of arrest and seizure; rules of evidence and court procedures; legal rights of citizens. Knowlege of Tennesse Law Code (mandatory). Knowledge of Microsoft Suite. You. Unlimited We believe in creating the greatest good for society.
