Geared for growth… USA SHADE (a division of PlayPower) is a world leader in the manufacturing and construction of commercial outdoor steel and fabric shade structures. We are seeking an experienced Regional Sales Manager to support Florida (Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville, Panhandle). We are an aggressive and challenging specialty contractor performing design/build projects in the rapidly advancing tensile structures field. We are dedicated to collaborating with our clients, making their design concepts a reality, and continuing to advance fabric architecture.
This position is responsible for generating sales of diverse shade products in a national and/or regional assigned area through relationship building and by demonstrating exemplary presentation, negotiation and closing skills.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop new clients within assigned territory using various methods including, but not limited to, cold calling, attending trade shows, face-to-face meetings, and direct marketing from their home office.
- Potential clientele base will be focused on: government (school, cities, counties, military) developers, general contractors, architects, churches, private schools, universities, HOA’s, airports, etc.
- Work with existing clients and contacts to develop new business and cultivate existing business relationships.
- Collaborate with other departments i.e. project management and engineering to ensure a positive customer service experience and client satisfaction.
- Track, measure and analyze personal performance through the company’s contact management tool.
- Prepare and present proposals to customers.
- Perform various administrative tasks i.e. conceptual drawing requests, design drawing requests, and completing reports and paperwork as needed.

- Previous experience in commercial aquatics, commercial shade, park and recreation, and/or pool builder business.
- Some project management experience
Minimum Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field, highly preferred
- Minimum three years sales experience
- Must be able to work from home office and travel often within the Florida Panhandle, Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville and neighboring cities
- Valid Class C driver license
- Working knowledge of construction sales and landscape architecture
- Previous experience in commercial shade, park and recreation, aquatics and/or pool builder business, highly preferred
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, CRM software and sales territories
- Above average to superior written and verbal communication skills
- Strong negotiation skills
