Responsibilities
- Perform foot and/or vehicle patrols of designated sites (residential, commercial, and event venues).
- Monitor and control access to buildings, lots, or restricted areas.
- Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or violations.
- Respond quickly and appropriately to alarms, incidents, or emergencies.
- Prepare detailed incident and daily activity reports.
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients, guests, and visitors.
- Support company reputation by maintaining a professional and respectful presence at all times.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older with a High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid Connecticut Guard Card preferred — applicants without a Guard Card will still be considered if their experience aligns with our standards.
- Prior security, law enforcement, or military experience preferred.
- Ability to pass background and drug screening.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, or holidays as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Current CT State Security Guard License (Guard Card)
- CPR, AED, or First Aid certification
- Armed positions: valid CT Pistol Permit and firearm qualification
- Previous experience in hotels, healthcare facilities, schools, events, or property management environments
