USA Prime Central Iowa Fastpitch is building a coaching staff committed to developing athletes the right way—with outstanding instruction, positive leadership, accountability, and a passion for the game.
We're looking for coaches who want to be more than someone who calls pitches or fills out a lineup card. We want mentors who can inspire confidence, teach fundamentals, and help young athletes reach their potential on and off the field.
What You'll Do
- Lead competitive fastpitch teams
- Plan and conduct engaging, organized practices
- Coach weekend tournaments throughout the season
- Develop players in hitting, defense, baserunning, pitching strategy, and softball IQ
- Build a positive, disciplined, and competitive team culture
- Communicate effectively with players, parents, and organizational leadership
- Represent USA Prime Central Iowa with professionalism and integrity

Qualifications
- Softball /Baseball coaching experience preferred, but not required. Former collegiate athletes are encouraged to apply
- Prior fastpitch coaching experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of fastpitch fundamentals and game strategy
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Reliable transportation
- Evening and weekend availability
- Ability to pass a background check

Schedule
- Evening practices (2–3 per week)
- Weekend tournaments
- Indoor winter training
Compensation
This is a part-time, seasonal coaching position.
- Head Coaches receive a flat stipend of $300 per tournament weekend.
- Additional travel reimbursement or compensation is provided for approved out-of-town tournaments.
