Job Description/Overview of Position:
Looking for a Sheet Metal Apprentice for our construction team as our company is growing rapidly. The candidate must have either a high school diploma or GED. Must have the ability to prioritize and multi-task, organized and pay attention to details, provide excellent customer service and be a strong team member.
- Working hours Monday through Friday from 6.00 AM to 2.30 PM
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Technical evening classes are required if not graduated from technical school
- Uniform & safety equipment is provided by company
- Basic knowledge of hand & electrical tools
- Good mechanical skills
- Must be able to read tape measurements
- Must follow all safety procedures and follow company safety rules & guidelines along with OSHA requirements
- The ability to learn and operate the manual and automated machinery
- Basic blueprint reading skill are preferred but not required
- Learn basic maintenance/make repairs
- Learn to fabricate ductwork and make basic materials
- Learn to drive a forklift (Training provided)
- Help keep the shop/warehouse neat & clean
- Must be reliable, hardworking & punctual
- Enjoy taking on challenges
- Ability to work within a team
