Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Safety & Compliance Coordinator to champion a safe and compliant work environment across our fleet. Duties
- Driver Qualification (DQ): Verifying and maintaining CDLs, medical certificates, background checks, and driving records.
- HOS & ELD Compliance: Reviewing electronic logging device (ELD) data to ensure drivers do not exceed legal driving limits.
- Drug & Alcohol Programs: Facilitating pre-employment, random, and post-accident testing
- Fleet Maintenance: Ensuring pre-trip/post-trip inspections are completed and that vehicle repairs meet safety standards. Monitor and manage Annual inspections of vehicles. Monitor and manage all applicable permitting for vehicles.
- Audit Preparation & Reporting: Monitoring CSA scores, investigating accidents, and preparing for federal and state compliance reviews.
- Coordinate with internal teams: Ensure compliance within dispatch and fleet maintenance.
Requirements
- Proven experience in trucking with a strong understanding of DOT regulations, DATAQ, FMCSA guidelines & standards and ELD reporting.
- Knowledge of OTR dry van industry with hazmat.
- Strong skills in report writing, root cause analysis, and developing safety training & development programs.
- Ability to conduct thorough safety inspections, risk assessments, and compliance audits with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
