The laser machine operator position safely performs laser cutting for a variety of manufacturing products.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.

This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Requirements
- Manufacturing experience (Required)
- Strong Computer Skills (Required)
- Strong Communications Skills both verbal and written (Required)
- Excellent Time Management Skills
- 5 years in metal fabrication and machining (Preferred)
- Understanding of blueprints and quality standards and tolerances (Preferred)
- Strong math background (Preferred)
- Experience using a variety of measuring instruments (Preferred)
- Understanding the quality requirements of the products (Preferred)
- Knowledge of raw materials (Preferred)
- Detail Oriented (Preferred)
- Process Oriented (Preferred)
- Lean Methodology (Preferred)
- Perform typical laser cutting operations.
- Select proper cutting programs, and proper fixtures.
- Establish proper stop location, adjust laser beam focal point.
- Make proper setups for cutting operations.
- Perform prescribed maintenance as required.
- Perform all dimensional inspections.
- Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to supervisor.
- May perform a variety of other tasks as production needs required.
