Manages and directs the research and development programs to meet organizational needs in the area of metalworking, lubrication, quenchants, and other related products Maintains and reports on KPIs to the Director or VP of R&D. Assists in the identification of appropriate KPI for tracking efficiency and efficacy of R&D activities. Develops and implements R&D procedures and techniques Analyzes project results and provides recommendations based on findings Assesses the scope of research projects and ensures they are on time and within budget Keeps updated with projects across product lines and identify potential synergies Keeps updated with newest technologies and movements of industry as a whole Communicates with product line managers to prioritize project work Other duties as assigned by the Director or VP Participates in project work as required Complete all safety and application training and maintain and encourage a safe workplace MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Experience is scientific or engineering field preferred. Without experience, training/education is recommended. This role will typically have 15 years experience, including education. Experience with instrumentation, MS Word products, SharePoint or database management software preferred.
