Role Description This on-site Computer Technician contract role is based in Irving, TX. The Computer Technician will perform day-to-day tasks such as diagnosing hardware and software issues, repairing and refurbishing desktop and laptop systems, and installing or configuring operating systems. Responsibilities include performing routine computer maintenance, testing systems for performance and stability, and documenting work performed on each device. The role also involves providing technical support to internal teams, assisting with inventory organization, and ensuring refurbished PCs meet company quality standards before distribution.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Computer Repair and Computer Maintenance for desktops and laptops
- Ability to provide Technical Support and perform effective Troubleshooting of hardware and software issues
- Working knowledge of common Operating Systems (such as Windows) and basic installation/configuration procedures
- Attention to detail in testing, quality control, and documentation of repairs and configurations
- Ability to lift and move computer equipment safely and work on-site in a warehouse or workshop environment
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with technicians, sales staff, and management
- Previous experience in PC refurbishment, IT support, or a related technical role preferred
- Relevant technical certification (e.g., CompTIA A or similar) is a plus
