The purpose of this position is to provide safety and health support to the USA Compression fabrication and assembly facilities in Kilgore and Longview, Texas. This role will report directly to the Vice President of Safety.
Primary Duties And Responsibilities
- Partner with the facility leadership team to improve safety results through hands-on employee safety training, building relationships and communication, and reinforcing our safety culture.
- Continuously monitor facility safety KPI’s (lagging and leading), evaluate the effectiveness of safety efforts and initiatives, and develop and implement changes required for improvement and attainment of annual safety goals.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal HSE regulations, as well as USAC safety requirements.
- Support USAC’s driver improvement program and ensure compliance with all DOT regulations.
- Influence and coach employees to achieve our safety goals and support our HSE Vision of Zero Incidents in All We Do.
- Review and assist with developing improvements to current facility safety policies, procedures, and training modules.
- Develop and deliver safety training modules to manufacturing personnel on required topics and programs.
- Lead HSE compliance audits of the facilities. Prepare audit reports and recommendations for corrective actions of HSE issues/hazards, then track corrective actions to closure.
- Supports the VP of Safety with incident investigations and after-action reviews.

- High School diploma or GED
- Bachelor’s degree, ASP, CSP, or related field experience is preferred.
- 5 years of experience in the health and safety profession, heavy manufacturing experience preferred.
- Working proficiency with MS Office
- Knowledge of safety management systems, ISNetworld, and Veriforce preferred.
- Previous experience and direct involvement in driving change in safety culture within an organization
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills and can effectively interact with all levels of internal and external personnel.
- Detail oriented, with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and display a sense of urgency and strong customer service.
- Displays good judgment, maintains confidentiality, as needed, and makes sound decisions.
