Position Summary
As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our healthcare team and ensuring a smooth workflow in our clinics. Your responsibilities will include assisting physicians during medical procedures, managing patient interactions, and maintaining a welcoming environment for all patients.
Position Details
- Location: This position works in our: Canfield, Canton, Fairlawn, Middleburg, OH clinics
- Optional: Erie, PA on Mondays (will receive mileage when traveling to Erie).
- Schedule: Full-Time, Tuesday-Friday (Or M-F is adding Erie)
- Compensation: $22-$27hr based on experience and qualifications.
- Greet, room, and assist patients upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming and positive patient experience.
- Obtain and document patient vital signs, medical histories, and other clinical information in the electronic medical record (EMR/EHR).
- Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, EKGs, injections/vaccinations, specimen collection, and other duties within scope of training and certification.
- Accurately document patient interactions and clinical information using EMR/EHR systems.
- Deliver exceptional patient service while managing a high volume of patient interactions in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Utilize EMR/EHR platforms such as Epic, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, or similar systems.
- Support patient care within a healthcare setting, including physician offices, clinics, urgent care centers, pharmacies, hospitals, or home health environments.
- Leverage bilingual communication skills to support patient interactions when applicable.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
- 3 years of hands-on clinical experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar direct patient care role (e.g., Medical Assistant externship, CNA, HHA, Nursing Assistant, or Patient Care Technician), required.
- Experience performing clinical duties such as vital signs, patient rooming, phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and specimen collection, required.
- Completion of a Medical Assistant training program and/or current CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification preferred.
- Proven patient-facing or customer service experience in a fast-paced environment, required.
