As the Director of Social Media, you’ll report to the Senior Director of Marketing, Kevin Jones. You will develop and execute USA Baseball’s social media strategy to elevate the organization's brand, grow engagement, and showcase all of USA Baseball’s programs. Your responsibilities include managing the main USA Baseball accounts across all platforms and crafting a comprehensive narrative that reflects the organization's mission and focus on growing the game. Collaborating with the social media team dedicated to national teams and events, you will ensure that content is used effectively to tell USA Baseball's story. You will create compelling daily content while spearheading large-scale campaigns, keeping USA Baseball at the forefront of baseball conversation online.

IN THIS ROLE

  • Develop and execute a social media strategy that drives brand growth, deepens audience engagement, and amplifies USA Baseball’s impact across all platforms.
  • Create dynamic content that showcases USA Baseball’s mission, initiatives, and brand, overseeing the main USA Baseball social media accounts.
  • Collaborate with the Athletic Communications and Strategic Communications team, ensuring seamless integration of their content into an inclusive story that elevates the organization’s presence on a national and global stage.
  • Craft and lead data-driven, audience-focused campaigns that elevate USA Baseball programs, services, and merchandise, optimizing for reach, engagement, and conversion.
  • Monitor and analyze social media performance, delivering insights to fine-tune strategies and increase engagement across all accounts and platforms.
  • Foster an interactive, authentic, and engaged social media community by actively participating in real-time conversations, responding to trends, and building meaningful connections with fans and stakeholders.
  • Lead the charge in exploring new social media platforms, tools, and techniques to ensure USA Baseball stays at the forefront of social engagement in the sports landscape.

Qualifications

  • You have 5 years of experience in social media marketing, digital strategy, or content creation, with a demonstrated ability to manage large-scale campaigns.
  • You possess a strong understanding of social media platforms, including Instagram, Twitter (X), TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, and emerging channels.
  • You can leverage social media analytics tools to analyze performance, providing actionable insights to optimize content strategies.
  • You have a passion for storytelling and the ability to translate the organization's goals and identity into creative digital content.
  • You possess technical proficiency in social media content creation, including capturing and editing videos, photos, and graphics as required.

REMOTE WORK POLICY

USA Baseball believes in fostering a flexible work environment that promotes work-life balance and enhances employee productivity.

USA Baseball employs a Remote Work Season from the Tuesday after Labor Day through approximately March 1 of the following year. During this time, employees are expected to be in the offices three days of the week, working remotely on a designated remote workday and on Fridays. Employees are expected to be in office Monday through Friday during the USA Baseball Season, which runs from March 1 through Labor Day.
