The OR Nurse initiates the delivery of patient care through the framework of the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, and patient outcome) in the preoperative, inter-operative, and postoperative phases of the surgical patient.
Description:
- In a fast paced, high-volume work environment, be able to manage various simultaneous tasks including analyzing accurate clinical information, identifying symptoms and changes to take appropriate action in a timely manner, and working independently with physician guidance.
- Use independent judgement to deliver sound clinical decisions, while simultaneously meeting patient needs and adhering to facility policies and procedures.
- Creates an environment of inclusion and trust for diverse groups to enable effective communication with colleagues and appropriate patient/ family education.
- Able to utilize feedback to learn and adapt, while remaining self-aware regarding their own actions and resulting impact.
- Thrive in an accelerated change agility environment with the ability to learn and adopt new responsibilities based on shifting demands.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current Registered Nurse License
- BLS and ACLS certifications
