Responsibilities
- Operate construction machinery including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, backhoes, cranes, and water trucks to perform site preparation, grading, lifting, and material transport tasks
- Maintain and inspect equipment regularly to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of construction sites by positioning and moving materials using appropriate machinery
- Follow all safety regulations and use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times to prevent accidents and injuries
- Collaborate with team members to execute project plans efficiently while adhering to occupational safety regulations
- Conduct routine maintenance on construction machinery such as Caterpillar equipment, concrete mixers, dump trucks, tanker trucks, roll-off trucks, front loader trucks, and farm machinery
- Operate specialized equipment like cranes and dozers with precision to handle complex lifting and earthmoving tasks
Requirements
- Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment on active job sites
- Mechanical knowledge of construction machinery maintenance and troubleshooting techniques
- Valid commercial driver’s license with experience driving heavy-duty vehicles such as dump trucks, water trucks, tanker trucks, or front loader trucks
- Familiarity with construction site safety protocols and occupational safety regulation compliance
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy loads and working in outdoor environments for extended periods
- Knowledge of various machinery including excavators, loaders, backhoes, cranes, dozers, and farm equipment like water tanks or tankers
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment
