Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Stocker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining organized inventory levels, stocking shelves, and ensuring the smooth flow of products within our warehouse or retail environment. This role requires strong organizational skills, effective communication, and the ability to handle physical tasks such as heavy lifting. Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus to assist diverse customer needs and team communication. The Stocker plays a vital role in supporting sales, customer service, and overall store or warehouse operations.
Responsibilities
- Manage inventory levels through accurate stock replenishment and organization
- Operate RF scanners for inventory control and tracking
- Load and unload shipments using pallet jacks, forklifts, or other equipment as needed
- Stock shelves efficiently while maintaining proper merchandising standards
- Assist with shipping & receiving processes to ensure timely delivery of products
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of work areas to ensure safety and cleanliness
- Support retail sales through effective product placement and customer assistance
- Utilize organizational skills to keep stock areas neat and accessible
- Collaborate with team members to ensure inventory accuracy and optimal store presentation
- Handle heavy lifting safely when moving large or bulky items
Requirements
- Previous warehouse experience or retail stocking background preferred
- Familiarity with inventory management systems, RF scanners, pallet jacks, and forklifts is advantageous
- Ability to lift heavy loads safely (up to 50 pounds) regularly throughout shifts
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in stock control and merchandising
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for diverse customer interactions
- Good physical stamina for standing, walking, bending, and lifting during shifts
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining safety standards
- Basic retail math skills for inventory counts and product calculations
