Join our team. #CloroxIsThePlace Your role at Clorox: The The Production Manager (Nights 10pm-6:30am) at Hidden Valley Ranch Operations is a key leadership position responsible for managing and directing shift operations with a strong commitment to health, safety, and operational excellence. This role encompasses responsibilities including ensuring safety and compliance, maintaining food safety standards, improving operational efficiency, and developing both personnel and process capabilities. The Manager plays a vital role in the daily processing and packaging operations of Hidden Valley Ranch. In this role, you will: Safety and Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and company policies, fostering a culture of safety and compliance throughout the shift operations and continuous improvement of safety standards. Monitor and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) compliance at all times. Conduct timely investigations of Safety and Quality incidents, identify root causes, and implement effective countermeasures. Continuously improve safety standards and practices. Operational Excellence: Utilize problem-solving skills and root cause analysis tools (DPS, A3) to resolve operational issues and mitigate future challenges. Lead and execute TRACC (Toyota Production System) implementation, ensuring the sustainability of systems and processes. Develop, implement, and execute tactical strategies to meet operating goals, focusing on safety, quality, OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), Schedule adherence and cost. Performance Analysis and Adjustment: Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly analysis of packaging lines. Monitor and assess Daily/Weekly Schedule Attainment, making necessary adjustments based on factors like downtime, inventory levels, demand fluctuations, and projections. Collaborate with other shift managers to ensure consistent communication of standards and best practice. Continuous Improvement: Lead sustainability and improvement efforts, including centerlines, Cleaning, Inspections, Lubrication (CILs), abnormality tracking, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Job Instruction Breakdowns (JIBs), to maintain and improve operations to world-class standards. Provide feedback, coaching, and mentoring to team leads and members to enhance their performance and development. Personnel Management: Monitor, train, evaluate, and maintain acceptable performance levels for all employees while emphasizing product quality and customer service throughout the plant on 3rd shift. Responsible for managing payroll and vacation scheduling for direct reports. In this role you will play an active visible leadership role while engaging with teammates on the manufacturing floor for much of the shift. This role may supervise in conjunction with team leads up to 40 employees on shift. What we look for: 2 years of experience in a leadership role 5 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing Experience/Knowledge of SAP Experience with Office Suite (Excel/PowerPoint) Experience with SOP (preferred) Fundamental understanding of process improvement principles and methodologies, including Toyota Production Systems (TPS) and/or Lean Six Sigma (preferred). Strong ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple concurrent tasks, with a focus on achieving results. Exceptional interpersonal, multitasking, and communication abilities. Proficiency in analytical thinking, with strong problem-solving skills. Demonstrated accountability, consistency, and follow-through in previous roles. Effective collaboration skills, enabling seamless interaction with a diverse range of plant personnel. Effective in taking partnership with corporate resources to include safety and employee relations. Proficient in using network computer applications and electronic mail. Basic mathematical skills for computations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.
