SUMMARY

The BUILD Operations Manager will oversee the receiving, staging, inventory, selection, loading, and deliveries of all BUILD materials for future projects and installs. The BUILD Operations Manager will work with BUILD Sales Managers, Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, Installation Managers, and Customer Service for all BUILD projects arriving and shipping.

The BUILD Operations Manager is expected to have knowledge of the materials associated with the equipment orders, meet install and delivery deadlines, strong and courteous interactions with internal and external customers, and enforce company policies, procedures, and safety protocols at all times. The BUILD Operations Manager will manage driver/Installers including maintaining an organized workspace of company vehicles. Ensure drivers/installers have the correct materials for each delivery on their vehicles, and restock parts/materials are ordered per mobilization.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Required:  Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field, extensive warehouse management systems experience. 5 years progressively responsible experience in managing warehouse operation. Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office products (specifically Excel and Word). Proven leadership abilities to effectively develop, direct, and motivate. Strong analytical, attention to detail, organizational skills and the ability to problem solve, multitask, and prioritize work. Excellent communication, time management skills. Can work independently or collaboratively to accomplish objectives and is able to interact effectively with all levels of management.

Preferred: SAP experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Utilization of SAP warehouse management system    
• Record retention of all inbound product packing lists     
•  Record retention of all outbound shipments and delivery tracking
• Basic hand tools
• Train and develop drivers and warehouse colleagues     
• Coordinate and track proper staging areas of product by customer      
• Ensure all orders are dispatched and arrive on time for each project
• Plan, direct and control a wide variety of operational assignments through management, clerical, and warehouse staff

SUPERVISORY DUTIES:

• Select, train, counsel and develop direct reports.
• Weekly safety meetings
• Collaborates with Human Resources to recruit, develop, and train staff.
• Ensure compliance with Company, OSHA, DOT, and housekeeping regulations.
• Recommend salary adjustments, promotions, transfers, disciplinary action, dismissals and terminations.
• Set challenging and productive goals for team and hold them accountable.

• Coach and counsel direct reports on performance issues and takes corrective action if needed.

• Conduct periodic meetings with direct reports to keep them informed of current problems, changes and new developments in the department and Company.

• Manage time and attendance of direct reports according to policies and procedures.

• Plan, schedule, and assign workload as well as monitor work productivity and recommend/ implement changes as needed.

• Complete performance appraisals within assigned timeframes.

• Cross train direct reports to maximize productivity and provide coverage of all functions. Administer all policies and procedures accordingly as set forth by DON.

• Perform other duties as assigned.
