This hands-on position is responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, repairing, and improving complex production equipment, focused primarily on mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. It blends the expectations of a mechanic, planner, scheduler, and mentor into one hourly role. This is a working position, requiring the employee to cover shifts and oversee utilities as needed by the site, creating more flexibility and cost savings. The employee is expected to have or achieve a 1st Class City of Rochester Stationary Engineers license within five years of achieving this position. Essential Job Functions: Plan out plant repairs & improvements in facility and ordering materials through SAP and receiving quotes from vendor Provide oversite for contractors that are working for maintenance Shift coverage for vacations, etc Hands-on plant work: repairs, PMs, etc Train and develop Team members Ensure Technical plant availability Ensure safety and environmental requirements Lead and coaches team Qualifications & Experience: High School diploma or GED required 5 plus years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment Maintenance planning experience (highly preferred) SAP experience required The expected salary range for this role is 82,000-112,000k annually but specific employee compensation may vary depending on factors including experience, education, training, licensure, certification, location and other job-related, non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. This role is also eligible to earn a short-term incentive bonus and the following benefits: 401(k) plan, medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, paid time off, paid holidays and paid sick leave.
