HVAC Maintenance Mechanic, Level III Location: Portsmouth, NH. The shift schedule is from 6am-6pm: Thursday, Friday, Saturday and every other Wednesday (8 hours overtime every other week and weekend differential). The HVAC Maintenance Mechanic, Level III is responsible for preventive maintenance of Air Handlers, Walk-in Cold Room and Freezer systems, periodic inspections of HVAC systems to ensure proper operation and perform daily checks/repairs in compliance with company and departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). What you will do: Perform all work safely, adhering to GMP guidelines, SOP’s and work instructions. Execute routine work orders as assigned by HVAC Supervisor/Lead Mechanic. Perform daily inspections of HVAC systems to ensure proper operation. Execute moderate to complex troubleshooting and repair of plant and utility systems in the Portsmouth manufacturing facility and assist/coordinate contractors and vendors to ensure equipment is maintained in full operational status. Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs of HVAC and laboratory equipment in the Portsmouth manufacturing facility. Maintain records to comply with Good Manufacturing Practice requirements. Responsible for maintaining current training on all related aspects of job. What we are looking for: High School Diploma or Equivalent 3 years’ experience in HVAC equipment maintenance environment Minimum 1 year experience in Biotech or Pharmaceutical industry performing equipment maintenance activities preferred EPA Refrigerant recovery certification (holds or can obtain) A working knowledge of shop math, ability to read and write. Intermediate mechanical knowledge Can troubleshoot, use hand tools and can read complex mechanical, piping, electrical and equipment drawings. Basic computer skills are required.
