Job Description Agilent’s Cedar Creek site produces chemical reagents and consumables for biological analysis and diagnostic assays. This role supports value-driven automation projects that optimize mixing, dispensing, packaging, and quality verification processes. Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and validate automation systems in collaboration with internal teams and external partners. Improve electro-mechanical systems and reagent manufacturing workflows. Identify and integrate enhanced inspection and quality verification methods. Analyze manufacturing performance using data and value stream mapping to uncover automation opportunities. Lead automation projects from concept through deployment, including user requirement specifications and design reviews. Maintain and monitor deployed equipment using metrics such as Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE). Prototype custom tooling and fixtures using rapid prototyping and 3D printing. Document technical processes and improvements clearly and accurately. Collaborate cross-functionally with operators, technicians, engineers, and global teams. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Automation, Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. 4 years of hands-on industrial automation experience. 2 years in a manufacturing engineering or automation role. Proficiency in robotics, liquid handling, packaging automation, vision systems, and sensor integration. Strong mechanical and electrical skills, including schematic interpretation and system troubleshooting. Effective communicator with strong collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams. Experience managing multiple projects in dynamic environments. Desirable: PLC programming, cobot programming, Python, VBA. Additional Details This job has a full time weekly schedule. The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $97,920.00 - $153,000.00/yr plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
