Position Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Site Safety Coordinator to support safety operations across active construction projects. This position will assist with safety compliance, documentation, jobsite inspections, and project coordination to help maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, experience working in construction environments, and the ability to communicate effectively with project managers, superintendents, foremen, subcontractors, and clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine jobsite safety inspections and identify potential hazards.
- Support compliance with OSHA, client, and company safety requirements.
- Maintain safety documentation, including JHAs, PTPs, permits, and incident reports.
- Assist with employee safety orientations, toolbox talks, and safety training activities.
- Track employee certifications, training records, and compliance requirements.
- Support incident, injury, and near-miss investigations and follow-up actions.
- Monitor PPE usage and promote safe work practices in the field.
- Prepare safety reports, logs, and spreadsheets using Microsoft Office applications.
- Coordinate safety communication with project teams, subcontractors, and clients.
- Attend project safety meetings and assist with tracking corrective actions.
- Support safety operations across multiple active construction projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- OSHA 30 Certification required.
- 1 year of construction, safety, or related experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational, administrative, and documentation skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented, dependable, and self-motivated.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in electrical construction, conduit installation, or industrial projects preferred.
- Experience maintaining safety records, training logs, and compliance documentation.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
- Bilingual in Mandarin and English is preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements
- Required to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Required to walk up and down multiple flights of stairs at active construction sites.
- Required to work outdoors in varying weather and job site conditions.
- Occasionally required to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Required to properly wear and utilize all required PPE while on-site.
