POSITION SUMMARY
The US Youth Soccer Event Operations Coordinator is a full-time, hourly position that is responsible for assisting with the administration and execution of our 30 annual events. Duties include packing/shipping/receiving of event crates, inventory management, competition scheduling, and serving as the onsite operations staff member for assigned events. This position will report to the US Youth Soccer General Manger of Event Operations.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Warehouse inventory management of apparel, signage, and equipment.
· Collaborate with different departments and programs in preparation and organization of events.
· Manage host facility preparation, set-up and take-down for assigned events.
· Obtain all permits/rentals necessary for assigned events.
· Coordinate and interact with on-site vendors, merchandisers, and partners.
· Ensure proper medical services are secured for events as needed.
· Understand the USYS bylaws and policies.
· Lead group of staff (contractors, interns, 3rd party management, etc.) in facility set-up and take-down.
· Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and/or related prior employment experience preferred.
· Experience in managing multiple projects concurrently with strong attention to detail, problem solving and follow-through.
· Ability to lift 50 pounds.
· Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
· Prior work experience within youth sport event administration is preferred.
· Ability to work independently.
· Must be a collaborative team member willing to provide support when and where needed.
· Strong organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written.
· Ability to work with a diverse group of individuals, multi-task, and resolve matters effectively.
· Ability/willingness to work non-traditional hours (weekends/holidays, occasional 12 hr days).
· Bilingual language skills are a plus.
