Job Overview
As a Water Treatment Sales Specialist, you will be at the forefront of providing innovative water treatment solutions to our clients. This role is preferred on-site in Plainfield, IN, but we will consider a remote arrangement for candidates with strong, proven water treatment sales experience in an inbound, consultative environment. Your role is pivotal in driving sales growth and expanding our market presence. Compensation includes a base salary plus performance-based commission. This is not a cold-calling role. You’ll work exclusively with inbound leads—phone calls, web chats, and RFQs—guiding customers to the right solution and owning the sales process from discovery through close and post-sale handoff. You will engage with homeowners and businesses to understand their water treatment needs, develop tailored solutions, and foster long-lasting relationships. What you’ll do

  • Respond to inbound calls, web inquiries, and RFQs; qualify needs and recommend the right system/components.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients through effective account management.
  • Prepare quotes, present options and ROI, and follow up methodically to close.
  • Track pipeline, forecast consistently, and hit monthly revenue and conversion goals.
  • Utilize CRM software to track sales activities and manage customer interactions.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing to close deals effectively while ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
  • Uphold a helpful, consultative tone—no hard sell; earn trust through knowledge and responsiveness.

Basic qualifications

  • Sales experience in an inbound, consultative or solutions role.
  • Strong communication—able to translate technical concepts into plain language.
  • Bias for follow-through, speed, and accuracy; you love helping customers quickly and correctly.
  • Team mindset—you collaborate well with service, warehouse, and purchasing.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a focus on upselling products and services.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience in water treatment or related industries is a plus.
  • Familiarity with sales management processes and CRM software utilization.
  • Excellent analysis skills to assess client needs and market dynamics.
