What are the responsibilities and job description for the Safety Specialist # 26-15263 position at US Tech Solutions?
Duration: 6 Months
Schedule: Swing Shift (12:00 PM-10:30 PM, Sun-Wed or Wed-Sat)
Hours: 40 hrs/week (OT/Holidays as needed)
- Conduct safety audits and inspections.
- Investigate incidents and report safety risks.
- Maintain safety records and documentation.
- Train employees and managers on safety procedures.
- Support OSHA compliance, fire prevention, and hazardous waste programs.
- Participate in continuous process improvement.
- 1 year of EHS/safety experience or a related Bachelor's degree.
- Knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong communication skills and ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Experience in warehouse, manufacturing, industrial, or healthcare settings.
- Incident investigation, Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), and Workers' Compensation experience.
- Team leadership or employee training experience.
- Emergency response certifications are a plus.
