What are the responsibilities and job description for the Jr. Manufacturing Quality Engineer position at US Tech Solutions?
Duration : 3 months possible Contract to Hire
Job Summary:
- Performs final, in-process, or receiving inspections, audits, and other quality processes according to specifications and build requirements.
- Able to analyze data and generate reports and trend charts.
- Knowledgeable in the 7 quality tools and problem-solving techniques such as A3 and 8D.
Principal Responsibilities
- Work with systems engineering to review customer, industry, and other technical specifications to ensure compliance.
- Perform Build Instruction vs. drawing/specification checks and review other technical documentation.
- Conduct random, scheduled, and/or unscheduled audits to determine conformance to:
- Customer specifications and technical drawings
- Manufacturers’ specifications
- Assembly manual requirements
- Company processes and procedures
- Other applicable specifications and requirements
- Perform root cause analysis by:
- Inspecting and evaluating material returns
- Reviewing documentation
- Interviewing employees
- Assessing conformance to quality assurance standards
- Determining causes of defects, malfunctions, or process breakdowns
- Maintain data and logs for:
- Data quality
- Returned material
- Supplier information
- Nonconformance to build procedures
- Errors, findings, and recommendations for trend analysis
- Prepare required product return documentation to suppliers for failure analysis and monitor corrective action response.
- Coordinate or assist in developing and maintaining ISO system documentation, including work instructions and departmental policies/procedures.
- Identify, investigate, and participate in opportunities to improve processes, procedures, and key performance metrics.
