Summary

Job Responsibilities
Minimize unwanted sound during production.
Regulate volume levels and sound quality.
Place microphones for ambient sound.
Collaborate with producers and performers.
Maintain and repair equipment as necessary.
Skills
Strong understanding of signal flow, microphone functionality and placement.
Strong understanding of acoustics, sound recording processes and electronics.
Strong ability to edit audio for track separation and outside sound muffling.
Strong knowledge of audio editing software.
Education
High School Diploma required, bachelor’s degree in music or audio preferred.
