Responsibilities
- Vigilantly monitor swimming areas to prevent accidents and ensure safety compliance
- Enforce facility rules and regulations to maintain a secure environment for all guests
- Respond swiftly and effectively to emergencies, providing first aid and CPR as needed
- Conduct regular safety inspections, including checking vital signs when necessary, and ensure all safety equipment is in proper working order
- Communicate clearly with guests, staff, and emergency responders during incidents or safety drills
- Maintain accurate incident reports, shift logs, and safety documentation in accordance with OSHA standards
- Promote compliance with health and safety regulations such as HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) where applicable, and EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) guidelines for water quality
Skills
- Certified in CPR, First Aid, and OSHA safety standards with up-to-date training records
- Knowledge of vital signs assessment and basic emergency response procedures
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with guests, team members, and emergency personnel
- Ability to enforce rules firmly yet courteously to uphold safety standards
- Familiarity with compliance management practices related to health, safety, and environmental regulations (HIPAA, EPA)
- Attention to detail in conducting safety inspections and maintaining accurate records
- Ability to remain calm under pressure during emergency situations
