Role Description
This is a part-time remote role. The Part-Time Accountant will handle day-to-day financial operations, including bookkeeping, preparing financial statements, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Additional duties include managing budgets, processing payroll, handling accounts payable and receivable, and supporting financial audits. The role requires close collaboration with the operations team to maintain accuracy and efficiency in financial reporting.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in accounting processes such as bookkeeping, account reconciliation, and financial statement preparation
- Experience in managing budgets, payroll, and accounts payable/receivable
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance and financial audits
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving capabilities
- Proficient in accounting software and tools (e.g., QuickBooks, Excel)
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Experience in non-profit or public service organizations is a plus
