This is highly analytical and programmatic work supporting the Office of Senate Security’s (OSS) efforts to identify, assess, and mitigate foreign intelligence, counterintelligence, insider threat, and other security risks affecting the United States Senate community. The Threat Intelligence Analyst serves as the primary resource for threat analysis, defensive counterintelligence awareness, and security education initiatives supporting both cleared and uncleared Senate community. The position is responsible for developing, coordinating, and delivering threat assessments, defensive security briefings, awareness products, and engagement programs for Senators, Senate staff, committees, and the broader Senate community. The role also leads the development of a structured security awareness and counterintelligence outreach program for OSS, ensuring timely dissemination of relevant threat information through coordination with internal stakeholders and the Intelligence Community, and federal security partners. The Theat Intelligence Analyst is responsible for gathering products and producing analysis on intelligence priorities, and Senate equities as identified by Senate Security leadership. Work requires independent judgment, discretion in handling sensitive or classified information, and the ability to translate complex intelligence and security issues into clear, actionable guidance for a diverse audience. Work is bound by Secretary of the Senate policies and procedures, the U.S. Senate Handbook, and the Senate Ethics Manual but requires independent judgment in setting priorities and handling assignments. Qualifications

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed in an office environment and requires the use of normal safety precautions to avoid everyday risks and discomforts. Work requires frequent walking, standing, bending, and carrying items up to 25 pounds, as well as regular use of typical office equipment, software programs, and methods of communication such as a computer, email, telephone, and photocopier. Regular, predictable, and punctual attendance is required for performance of duties. Work also requires physical presence in the office, except as otherwise required by the Office of the Secretary.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Work requires a bachelor’s degree in intelligence studies, international relations, political science, criminal justice, or a related field with three or more years of progressive experience in intelligence analysis, counterintelligence, threat analysis, security operations, protective intelligence, or related national security fields, and the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

Demonstrated experience producing written analytical products and delivering briefings to senior-level audiences.

Knowledge of foreign intelligence threats, counterintelligence principles, insider threat indicators, cybersecurity risks, and/or hostile foreign influence activities.

Experience working with or alongside elements of the Intelligence Community, Department of War, federal law enforcement, or other national security organizations.

Demonstrated success in managing competing priorities with minimal supervision, combined with strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to brief and interact professionally with Senators, Senate Leadership, senior staff, executive branch officials, and other high-level stakeholders using tact and diplomacy.

Ability to communicate complex threat and security information clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.

Excellent judgment, professional demeanor, discretion, and flexibility in handling sensitive or classified information.

Experience supporting or developing security awareness, defensive counterintelligence, or training programs is highly desirable.

Knowledge of the Senate as an institution is preferred, with a desire and willingness to learn more about the legislative process and Senate operations.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
United States citizenship.

Eligible Top Secret clearance required, Active TS//SCI preferred.
