ShutterSmart is looking for a highly motivated Outbound Sales Specialist (Home Improvement/Window Covering industry) to conduct B2B calls to dealers in the window covering industry and support our growing network of dealers nationwide. Part of supporting the growth of our dealer network will be conducting virtual design consultations with B2C consumer leads that are looking for window coverings for their homes. We need a skilled communicator who can manage the entire B2C sales process, coordinate with our network of Dealers, and follow up to ensure a successful customer experience.
You’ll also support our dealer network, assist in expanding our Showcase Dealer program, and reach out to trade partners, such as flooring stores, interior designers, remodelers, and home builders, to create new sales opportunities.
Key Responsibilities – Outbound Sales Specialist (Home Improvement/Window Covering industry)
B2B Dealer Development
- Identify and research potential B2B customers, including window covering dealers, window shutter dealers and designers.
- Conduct outbound outreach through calls, emails, social media, and networking to generate qualified leads.
- Schedule qualified lead appointments for sales managers.
- Scout new business all over the United States and educate dealers on ShutterSmart products.
- Develop and maintain relationships with trade partners such as builders, interior designers, and remodelers.
- Coordinate a seamless hand-off of qualified leads with sales managers or dealer network.
- Maintain visibility into project progress and assist with follow-up communications as needed.
B2C Consumer Leads
- Follow up on inbound inquiries from the website, ads, or referrals.
- Conduct virtual design consultations with B2C consumers for sales.
- Engage prospects to understand their needs, project scope, and design preferences.
- Schedule site measurements for qualified leads with local dealers, installers and sales consultants.
- Refer qualified consumers to authorized showcase dealers and track their closed sales.
- Provide ongoing support and follow-up to ensure an excellent customer experience.
- Stay informed on current trends in window treatments and window shutters.
- Maintain accurate records of all prospective interactions, notes, and pipeline updates in CRM.
What You Bring:
- Prefer 3 years of Business Development sales experience, ideally in window coverings (shutters, blinds, shades, etc.)
- Strong outbound calling and sales skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment.
- Strong product knowledge or willingness to quickly learn shutter design and installation basics.
- Proven ability to build trust, guide customers, and close consumer deals in a virtual/phone-based environment.
- Excellent coordination and follow-up skills across internal teams and dealer partners
- Familiarity with using CRM tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.)
- Experience supporting or working with dealer networks or trade accounts is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field is a plus.
Compensation & Perks:
- $52,000 base salary, hourly with the goal to make $72,000 annually based on the structured commission plan
