IT Support Technician – Onsite (Lincoln, NE)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM
Location: Onsite in Lincoln, NE (no remote options)

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced IT Support Technician to provide hands-on technical support in an onsite corporate environment. This role supports daily IT operations, resolves hardware and software issues, and assists users with varying levels of technical knowledge. The ideal candidate is dependable, customer-focused, and able to troubleshoot issues efficiently while maintaining clear communication.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and system failures
  • Perform installation, repair, and troubleshooting for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and basic servers
  • Reimage computers and support larger IT projects when needed
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and password resets
  • Document work and update tickets accurately in the ticketing system
  • Provide status updates to end users and maintain SLA expectations
  • Escalate complex issues to higher-level support when necessary
  • Follow SOPs and utilize knowledge management resources
  • Collaborate with team members and support other local sites occasionally

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 2 years of IT support or desktop support experience
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Windows 11, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic networking
  • Experience with ticketing systems (ServiceNow or similar preferred)
  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware, peripherals, printers, and mobile devices
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience supporting end users in a business office environment
  • Basic server knowledge and comfort with reimaging tools
  • Familiarity with cloud/SaaS tools

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $22.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Work Location: In person
