Cancer Care Northwest is a full-spectrum private oncology group in the stunning Pacific Northwest. We are seeking a Radiation Therapist to join our multispecialty physician owned practice. We are proud to be the only APEx-accredited practice in the Spokane/Coeur d'Alene area. Cancer Care Northwest is seeking a dedicated full-time Radiation Therapist to join our healthcare team. The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, with on-call duties as needed. The scope of this position administers radiation therapy treatments to patients. Accuracy in positioning the beam of radiation to correspond with the designated tumor volume and accurately delivering the prescribed dose are paramount job functions. Supports and adheres to the Cancer Care Northwest/US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.


Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully an individual must:

  • Administer prescribed radiation therapy treatment in accordance with established protocols.
  • Accurately position patients and deliver the prescribed dose to correspond with the designated treatment plan.
  • Assist the radiation therapy department with patient care, treatment delivery, treatment records, radiation safety, and quality assurance functions.
  • Ensure patient safety, comfort, and compliance throughout the treatment process.
  • Operate and maintain radiation equipment to the highest standards.
  • Collaborate with Radiation Oncologists, dosimetry, physics, and other healthcare professionals to deliver accurate and timely treatment.
  • Proficient in the use of radiation therapy equipment and software.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt and excel in a float position, providing coverage across various locations as needed including the hospital setting.
  • Dedication to patient care and safety.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited radiation therapy technology program.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience actively practicing as an RTT. ARRT certification required. Must hold valid state license for radiation therapy.

Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to be present at the employee site during regularly scheduled business hours and regularly required to sit or stand and talk or hear. Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 40 lbs. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.

Work Environment: The work environment may include exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medical preparations and other conditions common to an oncology/hematology clinic environment. Work will involve in-person interaction with co-workers and management and/or clients. Work may require minimal travel by automobile to office sites.

Salary Range DOE - $44.22 - $66.33
