Illinois CancerCare is seeking a temporary Physician Administrative Assistant to join our team for approximately 3-4 months at the Peoria clinic. The Physician Admin Assistant is responsible for maintaining physician schedules, managing vacation and meeting requests, coordinating administrative activities, and serving as a key partner to scheduling and clinical leadership.
Tentative start date: June 2026

Responsibilities
What You'll Do
- Construct, maintain, and approve physician schedules in Qgenda. (i.e.,
vacation/meeting, tumor board, weekly call, weekend call, inpatient, super md,
weekend/holiday call.) - Perfect Serve Software: Bloomington Hospital Consult/Call Information.
- Work with the Scheduling Supervisor to coordinate all physician clinic schedules in
Unlimited Systems. - Receive, evaluate, and approve physician vacation and meeting requests.
- Track physician vacation and meeting time and ensure that all established guidelines are followed.
- Maintain master "Admin" Outlook calendar.
- Work with the APN Administrative Assistant to ensure appropriate provider coverage at clinics and hospitals.
- Schedule all administrative and external meetings placed on physician schedules.
- Construct and maintain committee meeting schedules when physicians are present.
- Coordinate meals for Physician Meetings.
- Adhere to the ILCC employee handbook, facility, and department policies and procedures, and observe HIPAA and OSHA.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent, associates degree preferred
- Three years of administrative experience, including one year in a health care organization
