Responsibilities
- Perform study-related tasks in accordance with protocol requirements, including, but not limited to Quality of Life assessments, vital signs, ECGs, and other protocol-specific tasks.
- Collect source data from referring physicians and hospitals that is critical for determination of study eligibility and ongoing patient care.
- Maintain regular communication with Clinical Research Coordinator II/Senior and/or Clinical Research Nurse in relation to assigned tasks and in compliance with study protocols.
- Participate in required training and education programs, as well as monitoring and auditing activities.
- Participate in scheduling patient visits in accordance with patient plan of treatment and study protocol requirements.
- Perform the preparation, collection, processing, and shipment of lab specimens to central vendors in accordance with study lab manuals. Will be required to complete IATA training.
- Responsible for study lab kit inventory management.
- Travel to other research offices and area hospitals, as needed to assist with study-related tasks and courier critical kits, samples.
Qualifications
Minimum Job Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)
- Five years of experience in a clinical setting as a Medical Assistant, Pharmacy Tech, Patient Care Assistant, Phlebotomist, or equivalent discipline.
- Associate degree preferred.
