The United States Navy is seeking Medical Laboratory Scientists (MLS) to lead critical laboratory operations across the globe. From managing blood supply operations to ensuring diagnostic accuracy and patient safety, Navy MLS officers play a direct role in saving lives—both at home and forward deployed worldwide.


As a Navy MLS, you will:

✔️ Lead clinical laboratory operations

✔️ Oversee blood product safety and transfusion management

✔️ Ensure compliance, accreditation, and quality standards

✔️ Manage personnel, equipment, and critical healthcare resources

✔️ Help train the next generation of laboratory professionals

📋 Basic Qualifications:

• BS or MS degree in Medical Technology (MT), Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS), Medical Laboratory Science (MLS), or a natural science

• Minimum 3.0 GPA (including core science coursework)

• Completion of a NAACLS-accredited MLS/CLS/MT program

• ASCP certification required

• Minimum 3 years of recent clinical laboratory experience

• Leadership/supervisory experience highly desired

• Blood bank/transfusion services experience is a plus

Exceptional candidates with extensive experience or specialized skills may be considered for GPA or training waivers on a case-by-case basis.
