Position Overview
The U.S. Navy is seeking board-eligible or board-certified Anesthesiologists to provide high-quality perioperative care for active-duty service members and their families. This role offers the opportunity to practice in a mission-driven environment, delivering critical care while supporting those who serve our nation.
Assignments are available at military treatment facilities across the United States, including Illinois, California, Washington, Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Maryland, Virginia, and additional locations based on organizational needs and physician preference when possible.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer anesthesia for a wide range of surgical procedures
- Manage perioperative and postoperative pain control
- Monitor and ensure patient safety throughout all phases of care
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in diverse clinical settings
- Deliver care aligned with the highest standards of military medicine
Compensation & Incentives
- Competitive base salary: $325,000 – $365,000 (includes $600K bonus paid out over 4 years)
- Specialty incentive pay: $66,000 annually
- Board certification pay: $8,000 annually
- Continuing Medical Education (CME) allowance

Minimum Qualifications
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school or ECFMG certified.
- Completion of an accredited Anesthesiology residency
- Board eligible or board certified in Anesthesiology
- U.S. citizenship required
