Qualifications:
To qualify at the GS-14 level, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 Level in the federal government performing, leading, and overseeing various complex, organization-wide data analysis projects.Examples of relevant experience could include:
- Leading and coordinating the efforts of staff and/or contractors in performing, overseeing, and monitoring complex data analysis activities.
- Leading and/or advising on efforts to collect, mine, and interpret data from multiple sources.
- Developing recommendations to address organizational program or business challenges.
- Assessing and evaluating data system needs to include systems for data acquisition, storage and retrieval.
- Contributing to the design development of advanced data systems, software, and/or complex programming specifications.
Responsibilities:
As a Program Analyst (Data Analyst), GS-0343-14 MP, you will perform the following duties:- Manage high-impact data analysis projects, to include implementing, managing, tracking, and evaluating each assigned project, ensuring the achievement of program objectives and effective resource use.
- Oversee and improve organizational data systems, assessing data interface and storage requirements and needs, and collaborating with stakeholders to enhance data quality and performance.
- Synthesize and communicate advanced analytical insights to inform leadership on policy and strategic decisions. Utilizing data gathered from a variety of services, creates and presents useful interpretations of analytical outputs to support organizational decision making; ties findings to agency mission.
- Provide expert consultation on data methodologies, technology adoption, and modernization initiatives. Identifies where any data shortfalls and/or challenges exist within existing platforms, tools, and methods.
- Represent the agency in interagency collaborations, committees, and other cooperative efforts with internal and external stakeholders to promote advanced data management standards, and develop/update data definitions, usage and control policies, etc. to enhance performance.
- Other duties as assigned.
