Duties
Some of the major duties you will perform include but are not limited to the following:
- Facilitate water testing, troubleshoot and functionally test water system equipment to isolate defective components and perform repairs, adjusting and replacing parts as required.
- Install, repair and calibrate analyzers for turbidity, chlorine and pH as well as the trend recorders associated with these analyzers.
- Install, maintain and repair plumbing systems and fixtures ensuring safety and compliance with applicable regulations.
- Install, maintain and repair electrical systems in various setting, ensuring safety and compliance with regulations.

Physical Demands: This factor compares favorably to the WG-08 level. Similar to the WG-08 level, this position requires heavy
physical effort to constantly reach, bend, turn, and move hands, arms, feet, and legs to handle different sets
of controls when operating the equipment and attachments. Because of the location of some of the controls
and attachments, the incumbent is frequently required to work in awkward or strained positions. Contrary to
the WG-10 level, the work is not more strenuous because of the generally larger pieces of equipment and the
requirement for more frequent adjustments under more adverse operating conditions
Working Conditions: This factor compares favorably to the WG-08 level. Similar to the WG-08 level, work is performed in all
types of weather, often in an open driver's seat or platform, on rolling surfaces and construction sites. The
incumbent is exposed to injury due to the possibility of the equipment overturning. He/she is subject to noise,
vibration, dust, dirt, and fumes from the motor and exhaust. Contrary to the WG-10 level, the work does not
require the operation of larger and more complicated equipment in more difficult circumstances that
increases the exposure to injury, overturning, noise, and vibration.
