Key Responsibilities Equipment Engineering
- Assist with equipment installation, commissioning, and startup activities.
- Support troubleshooting of automated manufacturing equipment.
- Help analyze equipment performance and identify opportunities to improve uptime and efficiency.
- Participate in preventive maintenance planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist in documenting equipment specifications, operating procedures, and engineering changes.
- Support engineering projects from planning through implementation.
- Track project timelines, action items, and deliverables.
- Coordinate meetings with internal departments and external vendors.
- Prepare project reports, presentations, and status updates.
- Assist in managing multiple engineering projects simultaneously.
- Translate technical discussions and documentation between Mandarin and English as needed.
- Coordinate communication with overseas equipment manufacturers and suppliers.
- Facilitate meetings between international vendors and the US Modules engineering team.
- Support travel coordination and technical visits when applicable.
- Participate in Lean Manufacturing and process improvement initiatives.
- Collect and analyze manufacturing data.
- Recommend improvements to equipment performance, safety, and production efficiency.
- Support implementation of engineering solutions.
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Industrial Engineering
- Manufacturing Engineering
- Mechatronics Engineering
- Or a related engineering discipline
- Fluent in both Mandarin and English (written and verbal)
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment
- Interest in manufacturing, automation, or renewable energy
- Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.)
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles
- Experience managing technical projects or engineering coursework
- Familiarity with PLCs, robotics, or automated manufacturing systems
- Hands-on experience in advanced solar module manufacturing
- Exposure to automated production equipment and industrial engineering
- Project management experience in a growing manufacturing operation
