Position Summary

The Chief of Staff serves as a strategic advisor and execution partner to the Chief Operating Officer, driving operational excellence and ensuring alignment across the organization. This highly visible role is responsible for translating strategic priorities into actionable initiatives, coordinating cross-functional efforts, monitoring business performance, and leading critical projects that support the company's operational vision and goals.

The ideal candidate is a highly analytical, organized, and influential leader with extensive manufacturing experience, exceptional project management skills, and the ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organization and through the industry partners. This individual will act as an extension of the COO, helping drive execution, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with the COO to execute the company's operational vision, strategic priorities, and long-term objectives.
  • Drive enterprise-wide operational initiatives that require collaboration across all functions of US Modules and other corporate parent company functions.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and proxy for the COO, representing the operations organization in meetings and cross-functional initiatives when appropriate.
  • Lead high-impact, high-visibility operational projects from plan development through execution while ensuring milestones, deliverables, budgets and business objectives are achieved, identify risks, and proactively remove barriers to execution.
  • Drive operational standardization and best practices across manufacturing processes, reporting, and business systems through LEAN operating principles.
  • Monitor operational performance through key performance indicators (KPIs), and data analytics, providing actionable insights and recommendations .
  • Perform financial analysis to evaluate strategic initiatives, operational investments, capital projects, and cost improvement opportunities.
  • Prepare executive-level reports, presentations, business analysis, and strategic communications for leadership, corporate stakeholders, and external partners.
  • Facilitate effective communication and alignment between plant operations, executive leadership, and corporate teams to ensure consistent execution of business priorities.
  • Manage the operational cadence for the overall Operations organization, including leadership meetings, planning sessions, business reviews, action item tracking, and strategic planning processes.
  • Drive engagement, accountability, and corrective actions with corporate support functions to ensure operational objectives are achieved.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, increased productivity, cost reductions, and operational efficiencies using Lean Manufacturing principles and data-driven decision making.
  • Solve complex operational challenges by leveraging internal expertise, cross-functional collaboration, and external industry networks.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with strategic customers, suppliers, technology partners, consultants, and other external stakeholders.
  • Support organizational change initiatives by promoting collaboration, accountability, and effective communication throughout the business.
  • Ensure confidential business information is handled with the highest level of professionalism and discretion.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of progressive experience in manufacturing, operations, project management, or strategic business leadership.
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional initiatives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong financial and business acumen with experience evaluating operational performance and strategic investments.
  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Outstanding written, verbal, and executive-level presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to influence without direct authority and build collaborative relationships across all organizational levels.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, discretion, and sound judgment.

Preferred

  • Master's degree (MBA, Engineering Management, Operations Management, or related discipline).
  • Experience within the solar, renewable energy, or semiconductor manufacturing industries.
  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, and Operational Excellence methodologies.
  • Experience working with ERP systems, business intelligence platforms, and manufacturing performance metrics.
