The FP&A Operations Business Partner drives financial insight, operational rigor, and strategic alignment across the business. This role partners directly with operational leaders to translate business performance into financial outcomes, improve forecasting accuracy, optimize cost structures, and support data‑driven decision‑making. A Day in the Life
1. Financial Planning & Forecasting
- Support Sales and Operations Leadership with monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting cycles for operational functions.
- Build and maintain driver‑based financial models aligned with operational realities.
- Partner with Sales and Operations leadership to align forecasts with capacity, production, and resource plans.
- Identify risks and opportunities and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Build dashboards, models, and recurring reporting.
- Conduct variance analysis and data validation.
- Support senior partners with data and insights.
2. Budgeting & Cost Management
- Support budgeting processes for assigned business units.
- Analyze cost structures, unit economics, and operational KPIs to identify efficiency opportunities.
- Support cost‑saving initiatives and track progress against targets.
- Provide variance analysis with clear, actionable insights.
3. Operational Performance Analysis
- Translate operational metrics (throughput, utilization, productivity, cycle times) into financial impact.
- Build dashboards and reporting that connect operational KPIs to P&L performance.
- Conduct scenario modeling to support capacity planning, resource allocation, and investment decisions.
4. Strategic Business Partnering
- Serve as the primary finance partner to Sales and Operations leadership by providing data and insights
- Provide decision support for strategic initiatives, including automation, process redesign, and capital investments.
- Facilitate cross‑functional alignment between Finance, Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, and other teams.
- Communicate financial insights clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
5. Process Improvement & Systems
- Drive standardization and automation of recurring reporting and analysis.
6. Governance & Compliance
- Ensure financial controls and policies are followed across operational teams.
- Maintain data integrity across financial and operational systems.

Education/Experience
- 4–8 years in FP&A, Operations Finance, or Business Partnering.
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
- Experience partnering with sales and operational teams (manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, sales ops).
- High Proficiency in Excel/Sheets and BI tools (Power BI, Snowflake).
- Ability to translate complex data into clear business insights.
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
- Experience in medical rental or overall rental environments.
- Familiarity with planning tools
- Understanding of operational metrics and cost‑to‑serve models.
